NSR Adds Bassmaster Opens Angler Jacob Walker to Pro Staff

NSR Fishing is excited to announce the addition of Jacob Walker to our NSR Pro Staff. Jacob currently fishes the Bassmaster Opens series in the southern and central divisions and plans to do the same for the 2022 season with the addition of the northern division. We are excited to follow Jacob around the country to let you see what it’s like to be a professional angler chasing a dream. We asked Jacob, what made you choose the Bassmaster Open series over other circuits?

“I chose the Bassmaster series because of the legacy they have held since 1967 of being the most recognizable tournament trail and the format they give anglers to make the Elite Series.” Said Jacob.

When off the water, Jacob works at Mark’s Outdoors, one of the largest hunting and fishing stores in the country. While working at Mark’s, he is able to connect with young anglers and educate them on the equipment and baits they may choose.

“Being at Mark’s for seven years I’ve watched young anglers develop their knowledge and skills on and off the water from high school all the way through college and beyond.” Said Jacob.

We are excited to bring Jacob on board as a mentor for young anglers and providing his knowledge and expertise in the fishing industry. He will be joining a strong NSR Pro Staff team that young anglers will be able to learn and connect with through their amateur careers.
